Hong Kong, April 13, 2026 — The Hong Kong International Innovation and Technology Expo (INNOEX) 2026 officially opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Among the myriad of cutting-edge technologies on display, the humanoid flute-playing robot from SOTA Robotics (hereinafter referred to as “SOTA”) has become a standout attraction, drawing significant attention from attendees with its exquisite performance and sophisticated design.
This year’s INNOEX, themed “Innovation · Intelligence · Take-off,” places a strong emphasis on robotics technology. For the first time, the expo features a dedicated “RoboPark” exhibition area, gathering over 100 robots from more than 28 countries and regions to showcase their applications across various sectors. As a representative of Hong Kong’s local innovative technology startups, SOTA was invited to participate in this major event, presenting its latest achievements in the field of humanoid robots.
The SOTA humanoid robot on display is capable of playing complex flute pieces with remarkable flexibility. Its fingers move nimbly across the instrument, and its breath control is precise, producing clear and melodious sounds. This performance not only demonstrates SOTA’s mastery of core technologies such as motion control and sensor fusion but also showcases the immense potential of robots in the realms of art and entertainment.
